First Christmas show of the year

We will be at the Ancaster Lions Christmas Craft Fair this Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm in the new Marritt Hall at the New Ancaster Fairground on the South, West side of Highway 52 (630 Trinity Road) and Wilson Street.

This year we have 100 vendors selling one of a kind items made locally. So come along and get some Christmas shopping done, knowing that every bit of profit made by the Ancaster Lions will be given back to those in need in our community. Admission is $4.00

Another crazy day at another show. I just glad this one was closer to home and that Capt. Wifey was running it.

Here are a few pics of what i’ve been up to in the studio lately. Apple baker, olive dishes, yarn bowls (for knitting), some flower arranging pots, and a few vinyl bowls.

My Mopar pots went over very well. Moparfest 2011 It was a fabulous event. I’ll be there again next year.

Throwing frenzy

  • So last night I was in a throwing frenzy. Made 90 mugs in 5 hours(still need handles, will be done today). Now today i have made 30 tea light holders, 35 spoon rests, 40 coasters, 3 4lb piggy banks, 55 mini plates( for rings or incense cones). 12 mommy pots (mini bottle vases for those lovely dandelions the kids pick too short). Now i’m on to 60 340g tumblers. Oh and Jen is glazing those 600 some odd pendants we made last week.

This was a custom order for a customer. I had an issue with carbon trapping which caused the bloating. Not too happy about it due to the fact it was a new clay body from PSH. I won’t be using that one again (505 Red-brown).
